Trash or Pass? PASS
Who is it for? For anyone looking to improve their mindset about money
Would I attend it again? Yes
Would I recommend It To Friends And Family? Yes but it’s not for everyone
What is it?
Millionaire Mind Intensive is at. Harv Eker’s 3-day flagship event delivered by one of his certified trainers. MMI is a money mindset event teaching people to let go of their limiting and negative beliefs about money. For example, I’m going to make a few statements about money and state out loud the first thing that comes to your mind without thinking:
- Money is _______
- Money is the root of ______
- Money doesn’t grow on ______
- I don’t have enough money
- It’s _____ to make money
- Rich people are _______
If you are like most people, chances are that the blanks are negative words associated with money. What if money had nothing to do with that but it just amplifies who you are as a person. A greedy person would be more greedy with money. An evil person would be more evil with more money. A good person would do more good with money. A giving person would give more with more money.
The most practical teaching of the event is the 6 jars money management system whereby you should split your income into 6 jars (bank accounts) and allocate revenue accordingly:
- NECESSITIES: 55% of your income (Rent, Food, Bills…)
- FINANCIAL FREEDOM ACCOUNT (FFA): 10% of your income (Stocks, ETFs, Passive Income Vehicles, Real Estate Investing, any other investments)
- LONG-TERM SAVINGS FOR SPENDING (LTSS): 10% of your income for Big Purchases (Wedding, car), Rainy Day Fund, Vacations, Unexpected Medical Expenses
- PLAY: 10% of your income for spoiling yourself & your family, leisurely expenses
- EDUCATION: 10% of your income for investing in yourself, in coaching, mentoring, books, courses
- GIVE: 5% of your income for charitable donations
There was a powerful exercise on challenging limiting beliefs that I won’t explain here as it would ruin the experience but it was also one of the most rewarding. I still remember it to this day and thinking back about it makes me feel I can do anything I set my mind to do.
Expect a lot of sales pitches throughout the event. I personally love hearing, watching how people sell from the stage. There’s a lot of that at MMI so instead of rolling your eyes thinking “oh there we go, another sales pitch…”, try to take lots of notes on how the speaker engages the audience and persuades people to buy and sign up at the back of the room. For any salesperson, entrepreneur, business owner, there is definitely a lot to learn from the speaker who is world-class at it.
